These wooden shaft geology hammers are designed for fossil hunting.
Use the flat end to break up the rock surrounding your fossil discovery or with a cold chisel for more detailed work. The sharp end can be used for chipping away the edges of a rock.

Small: 224 gram head (1/2 lb). Ideal for kids as it is not too heavy to carry around.

Large: 454 gram head (1 lb).  This hammer is a bit heavier and is good weight to break up larger rocks.

These cold chisels are great of chipping off the rock surrounding a fossil find.

If you are intending to hammer rocks, these glasses should be worn at all times to protect your eyes from rock splinters.

Unlike goggles these glasses will not steam-up after a bit of strenuous hammering. They are also very light weight and comfortable.

Hi visibility clothing is required when visiting some sites, especially active quarries.

Also excellent for cycling or walking at night.
