Junior Geo - A Family Business
Junior Geo is a family-run business based in Dorchester Dorset.
We sell fossils and minerals from all over the world.
We invented the Rock Shop as a school fundraising activity in 2004. Since then some 1500 schools have taken part.
In 2005 we introduced an online store to our website and also began to offer fossil hunting trips to locations across the UK.
In 2008 we started to offer wholesale products, including our fossil and mineral gift boxes,
Bill, a qualified geologist, first got the idea for the company after visiting his son's class to show of his prized specimens.
He was so amazed by the enthusiastic reception he received that he decided to give up his job in the oil business and set up Junior Geo. And he hasn't looked back since.

"I don't regret leaving the oil buisness for one minute" said Bill. "We are doing something our kids can relate to and the whole family has a say in the business".
And after 20 years Bill and his family have left the comfort of South London for a new life in Dorset... Surely the only place to live if you love fossils!
Junior Geo aims to encourage an appreciation of the natural world by selling high quality, beautifully presented fossils and minerals at affordable prices.
Bill has worked hard with a team of artists and animators to develop a unique and accessible website where there is a stimulating range of activities and information.
